Wrapped. Sealed.
Clean In Spring.

Sealed tight against snow, ice and five months of weather, on the same October visit that closes your pool. It comes out in April looking the way it went in.

Patio Furniture Shrink Wrapping in Wayne NJ

A cover keeps rain off the top of a cushion. It does not stop wind driving snow underneath, it does not stop water pooling in a seat, and it does not stop the whole thing blowing into the pool in February.

Patio furniture shrink wrapping seals the piece completely. Heat shrunk film pulls tight to the shape, sheds snow instead of holding it, and stays put through a northeastern winter because there is nothing loose for the wind to grab.

We wrap for homes across Bergen, Passaic, Morris and Essex Counties, almost always in the same October window as pool closings, because it is the same visit and the same trip.

What gets wrapped

  • Dining sets, table and chairs wrapped as one unit or individually, whichever survives your wind better
  • Sectionals and loungers, including the cushions, sealed dry rather than left to soak
  • Outdoor kitchens and grills, covered and sealed against ice
  • Umbrellas and fire tables, wrapped closed so nothing catches wind
  • Pool furniture, wrapped on the same visit the pool gets closed
  • Cut open in spring and hauled away as part of the opening, so you are not standing there with a knife

Why wrapping beats covering

Covers fail the same way every year. Wind lifts an edge, water gets in, and then the cover holds that water against the fabric all winter instead of letting it dry. By April the cushion smells and the frame has rust running out of every weld.

Shrink film is heat pulled to the actual shape of the piece, so there is no loose edge and no gap. Snow slides off instead of sitting in a pocket. Nothing flaps, so nothing tears, and nothing walks across the yard in a windstorm.

It happens on the closing visit

The furniture gets wrapped the same day the pool is closed. That is the practical reason we offer it at all, because the crewless truth of a small operation is that the trip is already happening and the timing already lines up.

If you are not a pool client we will still come out, we just book it into the closing weeks in October rather than as a standalone trip in January.

What it costs

It is priced per piece, and the number moves with size rather than count. Six dining chairs are quick. A large sectional, a fire table and a pair of chaise loungers is a different job.

The comparison worth making is not against doing nothing, it is against replacing cushions. A single set of quality outdoor cushions runs into the several hundreds, and a soaked winter is usually all it takes.

Spring, and getting rid of the plastic

The film gets cut open and taken away in spring, which is included rather than an extra visit. Most people have it done during the pool opening, so the patio is usable the same day the water is.

You are left with furniture that is dry and clean rather than furniture that needs an afternoon of scrubbing before anybody sits on it.

What patio furniture shrink wrapping is actually protecting against

The damage that ruins outdoor furniture over a New Jersey winter is not cold, it is trapped moisture and repeated freezing. Water that gets into a cushion or sits in the low point of a frame freezes, expands, thaws and does it again perhaps forty times between November and March. That cycle is what splits welds, lifts powder coating and rots the foam from the inside while the fabric still looks fine. A tight seal keeps the water out entirely, which is a different and far more effective thing than keeping the rain off the top.

Wrapping happens on the same October visit as the pool closing, and closing timing in this region follows the guidance of the Northeast Spa and Pool Association. Booking both together is why the furniture tends to get done before the first real freeze rather than after it.

Closing the pool this fall?

Add the furniture to the same visit. One trip, one invoice, and nothing sits out in the snow.

How a Wrap Works

October in, April out, and you are not involved in either end.

01

Grouped

Pieces get grouped and positioned where they will actually spend the winter, so nothing has to be moved once it is sealed.

02

Cushions Dried

Cushions go in dry. Anything damp gets left to dry first, because sealing water in is worse than leaving the piece uncovered.

03

Wrapped

Film goes over the group and gets heat shrunk tight to the shape. No loose edges, no pockets for snow to sit in.

04

Vented

Vents are cut so the wrap breathes instead of sweating. This is the step that separates a good wrap from a mouldy one.

01How much does it cost to shrink wrap patio furniture?+
It is priced per piece and driven by size rather than count, so a set of dining chairs is quick and a large sectional is not. Worth comparing against the cost of replacing cushions, since one soaked winter is usually enough to do that.
02Is shrink wrapping outdoor furniture worth it?+
If your furniture cost more than a few hundred dollars, generally yes. The failure mode with covers is water getting in and then being held against the fabric all winter, which is what ruins cushions and rusts frames from the inside.
03Will it trap moisture and cause mould?+
Not if it is vented, which is why venting is a step rather than an afterthought. Vents let the wrap breathe so condensation escapes. Cushions also go in dry, and anything damp is left to dry before it gets sealed.
04Who cuts it off in the spring?+
We do, and we take the film away with us. Most people have it done during the pool opening so the patio and the pool come back the same day.
05Can you wrap a grill or an outdoor kitchen?+
Yes. Grills, fire tables, umbrellas and built in outdoor kitchens all wrap, and they are among the more worthwhile things to seal because ice in a burner assembly is expensive.
06Do I have to be a pool customer?+
No. It is simply booked into the October closing weeks rather than as a standalone winter trip, because that is when we are already moving through these towns.
